On the afternoon of 16th April, 2019, �鶹��ý�� (SICI) hosted the launch of a book titled ‘Country Drive’ co-authored by the Indian poet & critic Ms. Sukrita Paul Kumar and the Canadian poet & novelist Ms. Yasmin Ladha. The book was co-launched by Ms. Darshana. M. Dabral, Joint Scretary & Finance Advisor, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt of India, Mr. Matt Friesen, Counsellor, High Commission of Canada, and Prof. Faizan Mustafa, President, SICI at IIC, New Delhi. Amongst the highlights of the event was duo poet’s reading of the poetry content from their book to an enthusiastic and illustrious crowd of 50 plus attendees followed by a Q&A moderated by Ms. Anandana Kapur. In her keynote address, Ms. Dabral congratulated SICI for completing 50 years as an organization and praised its efforts to make Indian-Canadian literary & scholarly collaboration a huge success. In her closing remarks, Ms. Prachi Kaul, Director, SICI, thanked everyone for supporting SICI’s initiatives aimed at increasing academic and cultural cooperation between India and Canada.
